How do extraterrestrial visitors from other planets figure in to Christian theology?
Is our god their God, Is our devil their Devil?

- They got their gods and devil and we got our gods and devil.
- Since apparently the Christian God is whatever the heck you want him to be, regardless of the facts, then yeah... knock yourself out. Your God is their God. It's not like Christianity has ever let little things like the major points of their mythology turning out to be untrue stop them from claiming they still have the one path to the truth, so even if it's not, it's likely Christians by and large will just change their story to say it is, anyway.
- If they existed, then I guess I'd say that their god is our God. God created the universe so He would have created them as well.
- Curious question. In Christian theology the question of whether or not Jesus is somehow the salvific deliverer of other planets (and universes) is too a question that might someday become a reality when we discover life elsewhere. Why would those other planets (universes) be in need of some sort of salvific deliverer in the first place? Regardless, there is no way of answering this question in a serious way that wouldn't be conjecture. ** And the "The Baron" below me--that's a really silly generalization. There's people of all walks of life, regardless of religious tradition (if even applicable) that are androcentric and don't believe that life is capable of existing elsewhere. To say that this is strictly a Christian way of thinking is arrogant, misguided, and likely is a result of your xenophobic hate of other traditions / cultures. Grow up.
- A lot of Christians believe that we are all alone in this massive universe. The arrogance just never stops.
- They don't. Is there an extraterrestrial visitor from another planet that I don't know about? Did I miss a major news report? Nevertheless, if you have aliens show up here tomorrow, they don't impact Christianity one iota.
- The supposed extraterrestrials are a deception. Satan wishes for people to believe this so that when he fakes Jesus coming, he can get the world, including the athiests, to accept him and unite with him in opposing the supposedly dangerous alien who is coming...the real Jesus. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. www.saccentral.org http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1Gx_ul7xKk Blessings in Christ, Adam
- they're not real. the only et visitors are Satan and his demons. But they're not really visitors are they? ...been here for 6K years.
- Look at it this way: According to Creation God Created the whole universe, so if God is our God he will also be God to all what ever alien life that exists within the universe.. Here's another point you should consider: If according to science the Big Bang formed the universe then this means that all life that exists within the universe should be genetically related no matter how far.. So what im saying is: If there is life in outer space then this life should genetically share elements that exists on earth.. So the way I see it is the question you're asking can also be changed to apply to science, because doesn't science say we're all star dust?..
- ET's are demonic angels doing their job of deception very well in susceptible minds. There is one God, and no, they don't worship Him; their leader is the devil.
- Good question! Extraterrestrial visitors are mentioned throughout the Bible and other Ancient Religious Writings. Atheist's aren't the only group that needs to open their eyes...
- i do not known
- I just stumbled across this question, and am continually amazed that so many people (particularly Christian's) either avoid the subject or else dismiss it out-right as "the work of the devil", etc. One person here provided a link to a website which I've viewed (and have some issues with) but there is another.....strictly for the most serious & open-minded students of the subject. I recommend plunging straight into the deep end w/ the "Wings Treatise" at www.biblerealitycheck.com Also check out the other essays/articles there. I'll be back later to see how it "grabs" you. Peace!
